Steven Stewart has more than 30 years’ experience in media and communications in the public and private sectors, and is the Founding Director of his own consultancy, Kinnoull Communications.
He spent 20 years with Stagecoach Group, a leading sustainable public transport company in the UK, where he was Director of Communications with responsibility for media relations, political and stakeholder management, and investor communications.
Steven was closely involved in the development of Stagecoach’s sustainability strategy and was a member of the strategic communications group for the UK bus and coach industry.
He is a former Board member of Transform Scotland, the national alliance for sustainable transport, and was previously a policy adviser to the Campaign for Better Transport.
Passionate about his home city of Perth and young people, Steven is Co-Chair of the Perth and Kinross Business Partnership, a Director of Perthshire Chamber of Commerce, and a Perth Ambassador.
Steven is a member of the Developing the Young Workforce Tay Cities regional board, part of a network of groups helping deliver a key strand of the Scottish Government’s employability strategy, and was previously Chair of the initiative in Perth & Kinross.
In addition, Steven is a Trustee and former Chair of Perth Theatre and Concert Hall, the creative organisation which is at the heart of the region’s cultural life and local communities.
