Anna has been passionate about the environment for as long as she can remember, which has meant many of her decisions over the years have been shaped by this passion. She spent many years coaching outdoor education, where a love for the environment could be shared with those she coached. Now she runs a small home energy advice project with her husband Tom, based in Aberfeldy which has been her home since 2000. Alongside this project Anna is very involved in a number of environmental activities within the town, including co-ordinating the Climate Café and Repair Café as well as being a director of Handam (the local refill shop) and encouraging her church community to care more for the environment.
Anna’s favourite phrase at the moment is ‘the most efficient energy is the energy we don’t use’…her desire is to help folk make choices which lead to a more healthy climate.
In her spare time Anna enjoys slowing down with Tom, harvesting home grown fruit and vegetables (the hard graft of prep is less fun!), walking and open canoeing, being in wild places (in the UK).
